Ever wonder how that
Massachusetts judge
who took your children
away and stripped you
of your house and assets
got to sit on the bench?
All judges were approved,
usually by unanimous,
vote, by the Governors
Council at a public hearing.
The audio for their
hearings over the last
couple of years can be heard here:

Why This Is Important

to re examine the 25% levy on non custodial parents, who most likely fall into the poverty guidlines set by DOR, and determine other means of support. Revaluate the means of their "liens" If a non custodial parent cannot afford his/her current obligation, putting a lien on thier vehicle is pretty silly. A house, sure, your 25 foot yahct sure. But a car? How does one get to and from work? pick up groceries, care for thier elder parents,or their children? Pick them up at school when they fall down and need doctors attention? what if that non custodial parent was saving for a really nice Christmas present for thier son/daughter? emergency bills to fix the broken heating system in thier home, to keep the kids warm? fix thier car,to continue working? Worked to the bone Dad,is driving a 1990 ford explorer, and he needs exhaust work done? Take away his license, now,he cant pick up and see his kids, because his vehicle will not pass emmisions testing, and could harm his children, and not to mention, unsafe for the road. insurance, food rent/mortgage,health insurance for himself/and kids? If you rely on a drivers license,to take you to work,to meet your obligations, and make money for you to survive, why would you take that away? Take away a truck drivers license, take away his job.Take away a doctors license, take away his ability to practice medicine.
My biggest issue is the licensing. If you rely on a drivers license, like I do,to MAKE money, why would you take away that ability? How do you expect a parent to pay? without a right to drive, and move FREELY form home to work,it makes it that much tougher, and expensive,on a noncustodial parent to get to work, let alone, hold down a job,(how many of you filled out an application, and most times it asks, do you have reliable transportation?)or keep the one they have without a drivers license.IT NEEDS TO BE ABOLISHED. For those unwilling to pay, those noncustodial, playing games with thier kids, little men,of no honor, just out of retaliation to harm the custodial parent.Lock em up!
